Completion of education

The requirement for completing education at Rzeszów University Doctoral School is the submission of the doctoral dissertation together with a positive opinion of the supervisor or  supervisors after fulfill all the obligations arising from the curriculum and the Individual Research Plan. The Head of the UR Doctoral School, in consultation with the Dean of the Faculty and the supervisor, may exempt the doctoral student who has submitted the doctoral dissertation  in a shorter period than specified in the curriculum, from certain obligations provided for in this curriculum.

 

The doctoral student is obliged to submit to the Secretary’s Office of the UR Doctoral School all documents for the semester completion and:

  1. 1 copy of the doctoral dissertation in the printed version - if the doctoral dissertation is a written work;
  2. 1 copy of the doctoral dissertation in an electronic version saved on an electronic medium;
  3. abstract of the doctoral dissertation in English; in the case of a doctoral dissertation prepared in a foreign language, also an abstract in Polish. If the doctoral dissertation is not a written thesis, a description in Polish and English shall be attached;
  4. a positive opinion of the supervisor or  supervisors on the doctoral dissertation;
  5. declaration of the PhD student on independent preparation of the doctoral dissertation;
  6. a report approved by the supervisor or supervisors confirming that the doctoral dissertation has been checked in the Uniform Anti-Plagiarism System - if the doctoral dissertation is a written thesis.

The required documents shall be submitted by the doctoral student by the end of the deadline specified in the Individual Research Plan.
