Rules for reviewing the articles

Rules for reviewing the articles

  1. The Editorial Board ensures an adequate substantive quality of the papers. The article must first be preliminarily accepted by the Scientific Editor, aided by the committee of Subject Editors. Following this, the articles are sent to external Reviewers.
  2. All articles published are subject to a double-blind review process, in which the Author’s name is not disclosed to the Reviewer, and the Reviewer’s name is not disclosed to the Author.
  3. Articles are assessed using the Review form.
  4. Every work is reviewed by two independent Reviewers who do not belong to the institution with which the Authors are affiliated.
  5. The list of Reviewers is published once per year in the last issue of the Journal and on its webpage.
  6. Each review must end with an explicit decision on whether to accept the article for publication (in its current form or after modifications) or reject it.
  7. The Author must receive two positive reviews for the article to be published.
  8. Authors must take into account the Reviewers’ remarks and comments or provide reasons for refusing to accept them. Should the Reviewers provide contrary assessments, the article will be accepted for publication if the third Reviewer or the committee of Subject Editors provide a positive review. Two negative reviews mean that the article is rejected by the Editorial Board.
  9. In further stages of the publication process, articles implementing statistical methods will be subject to statistical editing.
  10. The Publishing Office of the University of Rzeszów also provides language editing for the works published.
  11. The final decision whether or not to publish the article rests with the Editorial Board.
