*Musical technique test includes:

- for wind/brass instruments: obligatory performance of the short classical piece (or the chosen part of the bigger form) in terms of the technical skills

- for pianists: obligatory performance of the short classical piece in terms of the technical skills

- for percussionists: obligatory performance of the two etudes: rudimental and classical ones in terms of the technical skills

- for guitarists, bass guitarists: sight reading of the simple and functional musical notation in terms of the technical skills

Note! The candidate is supposed to perform obligatorily two short improvisations according to the form of: (theme+improvisation+theme related to the blues and jazz standard performance.

The candidate should obtain at least one point in every part of the practical exam.  Otherwise, the exam will not be passed.

 

The candidate applying for vocal performance is obliged to submit  before the exam a current medical certificate issued by the phoniatrist that states no contradictions to using voice professionally.

 

** Group vocal workshops will cover, among others, introduction to vocal improvisation, making polyphony, etc. They will assess the candidate’s musical creativity and openness. Because of the improvised form of the workshops, the candidate (participant) is not required to be prepared beforehand.

 

The list of candidates accepted for first-cycle studies is made according to the sum of obtained points, from the highest amount of points until reaching the limit of vacancies, separately for instrumental performance and vocal performance.

The sum of points from the high school diploma. If the additional criterion does not decide on the admission of candidates within the limit, University of Rzeszow reserves the right to admit the number of candidates below the limit.
