AI-TEACH 2026 International Summer School at the University of Rzeszow
From 30 August to 4 September 2026, the University of Rzeszow is hosting 37 participants of the international AI-TEACH Summer School, “Enhancing Teachers’ AI Literacy”, implemented under the Erasmus+ Teacher Academies programme. At the University of Rzeszow, the project is carried out by the Faculty of Philology and the Institute of English Studies and is coordinated by Marta Dick-Bursztyn and Aneta Radaczyńska.
The Summer School is an important element of the internationalisation of the University of Rzeszow. It brings together students, academics, and experts from several European countries, creating a space not only for knowledge exchange but, above all, for building lasting connections and new opportunities for cooperation between universities. The AI-TEACH project involves 17 partner institutions from six countries.
Experts participating in the Summer School include Carl Boel and Merlyn Schoors (VIVES University of Applied Sciences, Belgium), Marieke Decock (KU Leuven, Belgium), Jacqueline Nijenhuis-Voogt (Radboud University, the Netherlands), Jon Hoem (Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway), Katharina Maitz (Private University College of Teacher Education Augustinum, Austria), Jochem Hiddink (HAN University of Applied Sciences) (Erman Uzun (Mersin University, Türkiye), and Arkadiusz Pietluch and Marta Dick-Bursztyn (University of Rzeszow).
The workshop programme combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. Participants design educational materials and solutions that make use of AI in education and then implement them during microteaching sessions at the partner institution, IX General Secondary School in Rzeszow. In this way, the developed solutions are tested in the real-life environment of schools, teachers, and students.
AI-TEACH demonstrates how international cooperation can connect research, teacher education, and school practice while at the same time strengthening the presence of the University of Rzeszow within the European educational landscape.
