Institute of Slavonic Studies
About the Institute
Institute of Slavonic Studies was founded in 2025. Institute’s employees conduct research within its three subdivisions:
- Department of Comparative Linguistics,
- Department of Applied Linguistics,
- Russian Literature Workshop.
The unit has repeatedly changed the name since its establishment, but the beginnings of Russian studies in Rzeszów can be traced back to 1965, when Chair of History of Russian Literature emerged with doc. dr. Aleksander Doros as the Head of Research.
