Nowa współpraca badawcza z indyjską firmą IMIS Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd / New Research Collaboration with IMIS Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.
Z inicjatywy doktoranta Ravikumara Kapavarapu, przedstawiciele Władz Wydziału Biotechnologii Collegium Medicum Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego odbyli spotkanie inicjujące współpracę z indyjską firmą IMIS Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.
Współpraca będzie się koncentrować się na inicjatywie badawczej pt. „Phyto-Ferment NCY: Harnessing Non-Conventional Yeasts for the Biotransformation of Ayurvedic Botanicals into Functional Fermented Foods”.
Celem inicjatywy jest wykorzystanie niekonwencjonalnych szczepów drożdży do biotransformacji roślin stosowanych w Ajurwedzie. Dzięki procesom fermentacyjnym możliwe będzie stworzenie nowej generacji funkcjonalnej żywności, która łączy wielowiekową mądrość tradycyjnej medycyny indyjskiej z rygorystycznymi dowodami naukowymi i nowoczesną biotechnologią.
Partnerstwo oparte na modelu współpracy „Pilot-to-Partnership” pozwoli na wymianę wiedzy i doświadczeń między sektorem akademickim a przemysłem farmaceutycznym.
- Prowadzenie zaawansowanych badań nad biodostępnością i prozdrowotnymi właściwościami fermentowanych produktów roślinnych.
- Budowanie mostów między tradycyjnymi recepturami a współczesnymi standardami naukowymi.

At the initiative of PhD student Ravikumar Kapavarapu, representatives of the authorities of the Faculty of Biotechnology at the Collegium Medicum, University of Rzeszów, held an initial meeting to launch a collaboration with the Indian company IMIS Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.
The collaboration will center on a research initiative titled: "Phyto-Ferment NCY: Harnessing Non-Conventional Yeasts for the Biotransformation of Ayurvedic Botanicals into Functional Fermented Foods".
The primary goal of this initiative is to use non-conventional yeast strains for the biotransformation of plants used in Ayurveda. By leveraging advanced fermentation processes, the project aims to create a new generation of functional foods that bridge centuries-old traditional Indian medicinal wisdom with rigorous scientific evidence and modern biotechnology.
This partnership is based on a non-commercial "Pilot-to-Partnership" collaboration framework, which facilitates:
- Knowledge Exchange: A seamless flow of expertise between the academic sector and the pharmaceutical industry.
- Advanced Research: In-depth studies on the bioavailability and health-promoting properties of fermented botanical products.
