Z radością informujemy, że mgr Ravikumar Kapavarapu, doktorant w dyscyplinie biotechnologia w Szkole Doktorskiej Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, został laureatem prestiżowego stypendium „Future Network Weimar Triangle: Science for Europe scholarship”, ufundowanego przez niemiecką organizację DAAD.

W ramach stypendium pan Ravikumar będzie prowadził badania pod kierunkiem prof. Olgi Kalininy w grupie Drug Bioinformatics w Helmholtz-Institut für Pharmazeutische Forschung Saarland w Saarbrücken.

Badania, które dotyczyć będą „Structure-Based Comparative Exploration of Antibiotic and Natural Product Interactions with Bacterial and Human RNA Methyltransferases to Elucidate Epitranscriptomic Mechanisms of Antimicrobial Resistance”, stanowić będą część jego pracy doktorskiej. Doktorat realizowany jest pod kierunkiem prof. dr. hab. Macieja Wnuka oraz dr Agnieszki Rybak-Wolf (Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology, Max Delbrück Center).

We are delighted to announce that Ravikumar Kapavarapu, a PhD student in biotechnology at the Doctoral School of the University of Rzeszów, has been awarded the prestigious "Future Network Weimar Triangle: Science for Europe scholarship" funded by the DAAD.

As part of the scholarship, Ravikumar will conduct research under the supervision of Prof. Olga Kalinina in the Drug Bioinformatics group at the Helmholtz-Institut für Pharmazeutische Forschung Saarland in Saarbrücken.

His research, titled “Structure-Based Comparative Exploration of Antibiotic and Natural Product Interactions with Bacterial and Human RNA Methyltransferases to Elucidate Epitranscriptomic Mechanisms of Antimicrobial Resistance”, will form a part of his doctoral dissertation. His PhD is supervised by Prof. Maciej Wnuk and Dr. Agnieszka Rybak-Wolf (Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology, Max Delbrück Center).
