On 20 October 2026, first-year students were officially welcomed into the academic community of the Faculty of Philology. After taking the symbolic pledge, they were formally admitted as members of the University, and they were introduced to the people who lead the Faculty. The MVSC programme was represented at the ceremony by Thao Le from Vietnam, and we are honoured that she chose our university to begin her studies.

The Dean addressed the new students with warm and encouraging words, reminding them that they are not starting this journey alone. She spoke about the support they can count on from lecturers, the Faculty team and fellow students at every step, and about studying as a beautiful adventure: a time of curiosity, friendships, new ideas and the chance to discover what they are capable of. The Student Council also welcomed the newcomers with kind words and told them about the student societies and the many ways to get involved in the life of the Faculty, from academic projects to events and meetings that bring students together. It was a welcoming start to their student life, and a reminder that the Faculty is a community that grows together.
