Years 1 & 2

MVSC joined the pilot edition of Global Partners in Education (GPE), an international programme led by East Carolina University (USA) that connects students worldwide around the shared theme of Global Understanding. Through a series of joint online classes, our first- and second-year students met peers from partner universities across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, including Universidad Continental in Peru, to discuss culture, education, communication, the economy and pressing social issues. Working in mixed international groups, students collaborated on shared projects that pushed them to communicate clearly across time zones, languages and very different life experiences. GPE builds intercultural competence, sharpens English-language communication skills and deepens students' awareness of global challenges, preparing them to work confidently across cultural and geographical borders long after the course itself ends.
