First-year student Brian Okafor represented Media, Visual and Social Communication in the University of Rzeszów's team at FASON, the Festival of Academic Sport and Science, held from 9 to 11 June 2026 in Rzeszów. Organised by the University of Rzeszów, FASON brings together university delegations from Poland and abroad for a genuinely international, interdisciplinary event built around promoting academic sport, fair play and student activity of every kind. The sporting side covered a broad range of disciplines, from the Academic Barbell Cup, korfball and bowling to mixed volleyball, beach handball, kayaking and dragon boat racing, while the academic side ran in parallel with a scientific debate on fair play, student poster sessions and hands-on research workshops. Brian Okafor took an active role across the festival, competing for his team and helping carry the group's momentum through to a strong result. It made for a fitting stage for MVSC to fly the flag, showing that the programme's students hold their own just as comfortably in a team huddle as in a lecture hall.
