Theatre celebration at the University of Rzeszów

Tuesday, 28 April 2026, became a true celebration of theatre at the University of Rzeszów. The event formed part of the university’s ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations and brought together students, performers, and theatre enthusiasts for an evening filled with artistic expression and creativity.

The audience had the opportunity to watch two very different yet equally engaging performances. The student theatre group S.T.O.S. presented The Curse by Stanisław Wyspiański, directed by Anna Demczuk, while the Theatre of Staged Poetry performed The Blue Wagon, inspired by the poetry of Stanisława Kopiec, a poet from Lubenia, directed by Janusz Pokrywka.

During the intermission, audience members also took part in a raffle for invitations to the Wanda Siemaszkowa Theatre in Rzeszów. The prizes were kindly funded by the theatre’s director, Jagoda Skowron, to whom we extend our sincere thanks.

We warmly congratulate the actors and creators from both theatre groups and wish them continued success in their future artistic projects.
