Radio Angel Award for UR Graduate and Lecturer Łukasz Wacławek
Congratulations to Łukasz Wacławek, a University of Rzeszów graduate and lecturer, who has received the 2025 Radio Angel Award, the top honour presented at Polish Radio Rzeszów’s annual Review of Journalistic Work.
The award was presented on 2 October during a special gala at the Podkarpacka Philharmonic celebrating 75 years of Polish Radio Rzeszów. The station’s Programme Council unanimously selected Łukasz for this year’s Radio Angel Award.
And that was not his only success of the evening. He also took first place in the Online Journalism category for the Polish Radio Rzeszów broadcast channel and joint second place in the Reportage category for Voices of Two Cultures: In Search of a Common Language.
For us at the Faculty of Philology, there is another reason to celebrate. Łukasz is a graduate of Journalism and Social Communication at the University of Rzeszów and is now back at the University as a lecturer. Alongside his work as a journalist at Polish Radio Rzeszów, he shares his professional experience with the next generation of journalists.
The Faculty was also represented at the anniversary gala by Professor Agnieszka Myszka, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, and Professor Magdalena Patro-Kucab, Head of the Journalism and Social Communication programme.
Congratulations, Łukasz, on a fantastic achievement! We wish you many more great stories, inspiring projects and successes to come.
