On 21 May 2026, the Institute of English Studies at the University of Rzeszów hosted the 15th edition of the Galicia Studies in Linguistics, Literature and Culture conference, bringing together students and young researchers interested in linguistics, didactics, literature, and culture studies.

The conference was officially opened by the Director of the Institute of English Studies, prof. Elżbieta Rokosz. The opening was followed by a plenary lecture delivered by Tara Seekins, which provided an inspiring start to the event and encouraged further discussion throughout the day.

This year’s conference sections gathered more than 60 participants from the University of Rzeszów as well as from universities and institutions in other countries, including Kazakhstan, Iraq, Spain, and Türkiye. The event created a space for students to present their research, exchange ideas, and engage in international academic discussion in a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere.
