Głównym celem działalności laboratorium jest prowadzenie badań naukowych w obszarze profilaktyki pierwotnej i wtórnej osób starszych, jak również szeroko rozumianej prewencji i ochrony zdrowia w kontekście pomyślnego starzenia się człowieka.

  1. Ocena funkcjonowania, zdrowia i niepełnosprawności osób starszych mieszkających na terenie południowo-wschodniej Polski.
  2. Ocena efektów rehabilitacji u pacjentów ze schorzeniami przewlekłymi.
  3. Walidacja polskiej wersji kwestionariusza WHODAS 2.0 oraz profili kategorialnych opartych na ICF do oceny funkcjonowania osób starszych oraz osób w wieku produkcyjnym z chorobami przewlekłymi.
  4. Ocena wpływu interwencji podejmowanych w celu poprawy stanu psychofizycznego osób starszych oraz osób z chorobami przewlekłymi.
  5. Ocena przeciwdziałania skutkom zaburzeń mięśniowo-szkieletowych.
