Małgorzata conducted research for her doctoral dissertation, titled “Molecular mechanism of apoptosis induction with HSF1”, at the Oncology Center in Gliwice and was awarded her PhD by the University of Rzeszów in 2011. She completed her habilitation at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin in 2019 with the work “Synthesis and characterization of properties of nanomaterials based on biological systems.” She has been a Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Education, and she is a team leader of the Biotechnology, Biomaterials and Microbiology. Her primary scientific interests focus on the design, synthesis, and characterization of functional, novel bionanomaterials with potential applications in medicine and biomedical engineering.
