On December 5, 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Finance of the University of Rzeszów signed three new cooperation agreements with secondary schools. During a meeting between the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. hab., Prof. UR Bogdan Wierzbiński, and the Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Secondary Schools, Dr. Piotr Cyrek, and representatives of the management of:

- Zespół Szkół im. ks. dra Jana Zwierza w Ropczycach (the School Complex named after Rev. Dr. Jan Zwierz in Ropczyce), represented by Director Mariusz Pilch,

- Zespół Szkół Ekonomicznych im. Janusza Korczaka w Dębicy (the Economic School Complex named after Janusz Korczak in Dębica), represented by Director Krzysztof Górecki,

- Zespół Szkół Licealnych im. Bolesława Chrobrego w Leżajsku (the Secondary School Complex named after Bolesław Chrobry in Leżajsk), represented by Director Zbigniew Trębacz,

as well as with the teaching staff of these institutions, the participants discussed current issues related to the development of education and outlined further actions planned within the newly established cooperation.

During the discussions, the achievements of the University in its collaboration with upper-secondary schools were reviewed, and the most important challenges facing economic education for young people were addressed. The participants emphasized the need to create an environment conducive to developing students’ practical skills and enabling them to engage with the academic research community.

The primary aim of the agreements is to build and strengthen research and teaching cooperation between the academic community of the University of Rzeszów—particularly the Faculty of Economics and Finance—and secondary schools. The agreements assume support, under the University’s patronage, for the development of students’ interests and competencies in the field of economics and finance.

The collaboration will include, among other activities, joint initiatives such as academic conferences, open lectures, seminars, presentations, and other educational, scientific, and outreach events.
