Another significant scholarly outlet is the journal “Transborder Economics” (ISSN: 2451-3229).
Research activities are also carried out within the framework of the Cooperative Research Institute (Spółdzielczy Instytut Badawczy), a unit of the Faculty operating under the auspices of the National Cooperative Council (Krajowa Rada Spółdzielcza), which has been integrated into the Faculty’s structure since 2019.
The Faculty maintains active scientific cooperation with academic institutions across Europe and beyong, including partners in the Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, and the United Kingdom. Particularly noteworthy are its strategic partnerships with universities in China, especially those located in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Dongguan. The University of Rzeszów is the first Polish higher education institution to join the Association of Economic Universities of South and Eastern Europe (ASECU) – https://www.asecu.gr/en_Members_list.html.
For many years, the Faculty has successfully fostered network-based cooperation among academia, the business sector, and public institutions. Key partners include the Statistical Office in Rzeszów (Urząd Statystyczny w Rzeszowie), the Provincial Labour Office (Wojewódzki Urząd Pracy), the Marshal’s Office (Urząd Marszałkowski), the Regional Chamber of Audit (Regionalna Izba Obrachunkowa), the Regional Development Agency in Rzeszów (Rzeszowska Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego), the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (Agencja Restrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa), the National Bank of Poland, the Carpathian Euroregion, local governments, educational institutions, and representatives of the business community. These partnerships give rise to joint research initiatives, expert panels, and recurring scientific conferences, such as “Social Inequalities and Economic Growth,” as well as thematic conferences on financial management in territorial self-government units (TSU).
The high quality of the Faculty’s scientific activity is evidenced by the following achievements:
- the right to confer the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences in the discipline of economics, granted by the Central Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles (Centralna Komisja ds. Stopni i Tytułów) in 2015;
- the B+ category awarded in 2022 for scientific activity in the discipline of economics and finance, authorizing the Faculty to confer both doctoral and post-doctoral (habilitation) degrees in this field.
