Professor Jiří Dušek – Rector of VSERS, Czech Republic, Visits the Faculty of Economics and Finance at the University of Rzeszów
From 9 to 13 February 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Finance of the University of Rzeszów had the pleasure of hosting doc. Ing. Jiří Dušek, Ph.D. – Rector of the College of European and Regional Studies in České Budějovice (VSERS – Vysoká škola evropských a regionálních studií v Českých Budějovicích). The visit took place within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme (Teaching Staff Mobility).
During his stay, the Professor not only carried out teaching activities but also exchanged broader professional experiences with the Faculty’s academic staff. During a meeting with Dr hab. Bogdan Wierzbiński, Professor of the University of Rzeszów – Dean of the Faculty, discussions were held on strengthening the existing cooperation between the institutions, including collaboration within the Visegrad Group (V4) countries, as well as on joint educational and research projects. The exchange of experiences also covered student affairs, conference activities, and international mobility. These matters were discussed with the participation of Dr Małgorzata Wosiek – Vice-Dean for Student Affairs. The academic supervision of Professor Jiří Dušek’s visit was provided by Dr Magdalena Cyrek, with organizational support from MSc Radosław Pyrek – Faculty Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator.
Professor Jiří Dušek’s visit marks another step in the development of the international cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and Finance. It also reflects the long-standing academic and teaching relations with the Czech partner institution, which will certainly continue to grow through future initiatives.
