Meeting: “The Use of AI Tools in Teaching and Research”
On April 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in room C5, a lecture entitled “The Use of AI Tools in Teaching and Research” was delivered by Dr. Krystian Tuczyński from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Philosophy of the University of Rzeszów / Institute of Pedagogy. The event was the first in a series of meetings dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence in higher education.
During the lecture, current possibilities for using AI-based tools in the teaching process and in academic research were discussed.
Practical applications of AI in education were also presented, including:
- creation of educational materials,
- generation of tests and quizzes,
- support in academic writing,
- personalization of the learning process.
The lecture attracted considerable interest and concluded with a discussion, during which issues such as the reliability of AI-generated content and the role of AI in the future of education were addressed.
In conclusion, the lecture provided a valuable introduction to the topic of artificial intelligence in education and initiated a broader discussion on its role in academia. Subsequent meetings in the series will further explore issues related to the use of AI, including (2) the structure of language models and methods of their training, as well as (3) the legal and ethical aspects of AI use.
