From April 13–17, 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Finance at the University of Rzeszów hosted Dr. Perihan Eren Bana from İstanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University in Turkey.

Dr. Perihan Eren Bana is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Management, where she also serves as the head of a research project related to data processing and analysis in the field of healthcare.

During her visit, Dr. Bana conducted a series of classes for students focused on the use of IBM SPSS Statistics software in data analysis. The sessions were practical in nature and enabled participants to acquire basic skills in working with this tool.

During the workshops, students learned the principles of defining variables, data entry, and dataset management. The basic functionalities of the software were also presented, including the generation of descriptive statistics. An important part of the classes was the interpretation of analysis results, particularly in the context of assessing the normality of variable distributions.

Additionally, participants had the opportunity to become familiar with methods of analyzing relationships between variables, including the calculation of correlation coefficients—both parametric and non-parametric.

As part of the visit, a meeting with the authorities of the Faculty of Economics and Finance was also held, during which possibilities for the development of international cooperation were discussed. The talks focused in particular on the exchange of academic staff and students, as well as prospects for implementing joint research projects.

Dr. Perihan Eren Bana’s visit constituted a valuable element of the internationalization of the teaching process and contributed to enhancing the analytical competencies of students at the Faculty of Economics and Finance of the University of Rzeszów.
