On 17 September 2025, at the Faculty of Economics and Finance of the University of Rzeszow, representatives of private organizations and public institutions important to the regional development participated in a debate on the socio-economic situation of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

The experts represented local governments (Zarzecze, Przemyśl), Bank PEKAO SA, Opella Healthcare Poland, Asseco Poland SA, University of Rzeszow, Fryderyk Chopin Clinical Hospital in Rzeszów, The Subcarpathian Chamber of Commerce (PSG). The aim of the expert panel was to discuss the current and future development path of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

The expert panel is part of the research project "Regional Review: Podkarpackie Voivodeship 2024" commissioned by the Podkarpackie Voivodeship Self-Government. In 2025, for the third time, the research is conducted by a team of academics from the Faculty of Economics and Finance (prof. Ryszard Kata, prof. Marek Cierpiał-Wolan, prof. Grzegorz Ślusarz, prof. Bogdan Wierzbiński, dr Magdalena Cyrek; dr Małgorzata Wosiek) in cooperation with the Statistical Office in Rzeszów. The report, the final result of the research, will be an important tool to support the regional policy of the local government of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
