XXXVIII edition of the Scapula Aurea National Anatomical Knowledge Competition

On May 23-24, 2025, the XXXVIII edition of the Scapula Aurea National Anatomical Knowledge Contest was held within the walls of the Rzeszow University Medical College - an event that has been integrating medical students from all over Poland around a common passion - human anatomy.

📚 For two intense days, the Medical College became a place for intellectual competition, exchange of ideas and making friends. This year's edition brought together a record number of 17 universities, and more than 80 students took part in the competition itself.

👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ The competition consisted of two parts:

🔍 practical, consisting in the recognition of 25 anatomical preparations,

📝 and a written test containing 50 questions.

The event was officially opened by:

🎙 Dr. Krzysztof Balawender, Prof. UR - Head of the Department of Corporal and Clinical Anatomy at the University of Rzeszow

🎙 Dr. Rafał Podgórski, Prof. UR - Dean of the UR Medical College

🎙 Prof. Janusz Moryś, MD - President of the Polish Anatomical Society

🎙 Prof. Jerzy Walocha, MD - Vice President of the PTA

🏆 Congratulations to all participants and winners!

Prizes - glass vanes made by “Sabina” Art Glassworks in Krosno - were awarded in individual and team classifications.

First place - Jakub Rogozinski, Faculty of Medicine, Jan and Jędrzej Śniadeckich Polytechnic University of Bydgoszcz

Second place - Alla Sobachenko, Faculty of Medicine, Jan and Jędrzej Śniadeckich Polytechnic University of Bydgoszcz

Third place - Jakub Chelinski, Faculty of Medicine, Jan and Jędrzej Śniadeckich Polytechnic University of Bydgoszcz Jan and Jędrzej Śniadeckich

🥇 Individual classification - English Division:

1st place - John Piątek, Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University

2nd place - Izabella Wilk, Collegium Medicum University of Rzeszów

3rd place - Peter Ibeabuchi, Collegium Medicum UMK in Bydgoszcz

🏅 Team classification:

1st place - Polytechnic University of Bydgoszcz

2nd place - Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University

3rd place - Collegium Medicum University of Rzeszow

🏅 Team classification - English Division:

1st place - Collegium Medicum Jagiellonian University

2nd place - Collegium Medicum University of Rzeszow

3rd place - UMK in Bydgoszcz

💙 We are especially proud of the team of the University of Rzeszow, which presented itself magnificently during the competition. Guardians of the team were:
