We are pleased to announce that employees of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical College have won a gold medal at the 18th INTARG® 2025 International Trade Fair for Inventions and Innovations for the invention “Cytisine in the development pathway of a new extended-release medicinal product” in the category “HEALTH - MEDICINE”. The innovative solution was developed within the framework of a project supported for the amount of PLN 14,247,552.50 by the Medical Research Agency, which received funding in the competition for scientific units for the implementation of applied research in the biomedical area (2024/ABM/03/KPO) within the framework of the National Plan for Rehabilitation and Enhancement of Resilience (NIP), Component D Efficiency, accessibility and quality of the health care system, Investment D3.1.1 Comprehensive development of research in medical and health sciences (project number: KPOD.07 .07-IW.07-0142/24). Representatives of the Research Team at the international fair were Associate Professor Anna Czerniecka-Kubica (project manager) and Karol Wroblewski, PhD (principal investigator).
