About the faculty

Faculty of Pedagogy and Philosophy of the University of Rzeszów

The Faculty of Pedagogy and Philosophy is an organizational unit of the University of Rzeszów, operating since January 1, 2025.

The Faculty comprises two research and teaching institutes: the Institute of Pedagogy and the Institute of Philosophy.

Study programs offered at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Philosophy:

In the Institute of Pedagogy:

• Pedagogy – first- and second-cycle degree programs, full-time and part-time studies, general academic profile, with specializations in: Educational Care Pedagogy, Resocialization Pedagogy, Social Prevention with Resocialization, Media Pedagogy with Cultural Animation

• Preschool and Early School Education – unified 5-year master’s degree program, practical profile, full-time and part-time studies

• Special Education – unified 5-year master’s degree program, practical profile, full-time studies, with specializations in: Education and Rehabilitation of People with Intellectual Disabilities, Education and Therapy of People with Autism Spectrum Disorders

• Family Studies – first-cycle degree program, practical profile, full-time studies, with specializations in: Family Assistant and Counselor, Support for the Elderly and People with Disabilities

In the Institute of Philosophy:

• Philosophy – first- and second-cycle degree programs, full-time studies, with specializations in: Theoretical Philosophy, Cognitive Science

• Intercultural Communication – first- and second-cycle degree programs, full-time studies
