Educational and Career Planning for Students of Secondary School Complex No. 3 named after Nicolaus Copernicus in Łańcut

On December 16, 2025, a visit was held by a representative of the Faculty of Economics and Finance – Dr. Piotr Cyrek – at Secondary School Complex No. 3 named after Nicolaus Copernicus in Łańcut. He was accompanied by representatives of the Recruitment Section and the Student Career Office of the University of Rzeszów: M.Sc. Eng. Marta Kot and M.Sc. Karolina Mróz.

During the meeting with students, career counselor M.Sc. Eng. Marta Kot presented the university’s broad and diverse educational offer, drawing attention to opportunities for academic development, the acquisition of professional competencies, and conscious planning of one’s future career path. She also provided practical guidance on choosing an appropriate field of study.

M.Sc. Karolina Mróz explained the rules of admission to university studies, discussing the recruitment schedule, the online registration process, and formal requirements. The meeting provided an opportunity to obtain reliable information and to have direct contact with representatives of the University of Rzeszów, which for many years has supported young people in making informed educational decisions.

A continuation of this process was a meeting with Dr. Piotr Cyrek on the role of self-motivation in developing young people’s social and professional competencies and in making thoughtful decisions regarding their life plans. During the session, issues related to the value of studying and the importance of education in the context of personal and professional development were discussed. Participants reflected on how education influences opportunities in the labor market and supports making sound life choices. An important part of the meeting involved discussions on self-motivation and self-discipline in the learning process. Students shared their experiences, identified factors that demotivate them from achieving their goals, and discussed ways of coping with these challenges. The workshop was also an opportunity to talk about making appropriate educational and career decisions. Students learned how to analyze available options, anticipate the consequences of their choices, and take responsibility for planning their own future. The sessions met with great interest from students and active participation in discussions.

The school visit also provided an opportunity to personally convey thanks and letters of congratulations from the Dean’s Authorities of the Faculty of Economics and Finance to students, coordinators, and the school management for their engagement in project work related to preparing proposals for the Faculty’s logo. In carrying out this task, students – particularly those from the Advertising Technician program in grades 2 and 5 – under the supervision of Ms. Magdalena Władyka, demonstrated openness to cooperation and strong commitment. The submitted designs were characterized by high creativity, diligence, and an understanding of visual identity principles.
