The research scope includes:

– fate and dissipation kinetics of pesticides (herbicides and fungicides) in soil, as well as their uptake by plants under laboratory conditions,
– assessment of environmental and biological factors influencing the degradation of active substances used in plant protection products,
– application of microorganisms, yeasts, biological formulations, and biopesticides for the reduction of pesticide and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) residues in agricultural soils,
– studies on biological remediation strategies and protection of agricultural soils contaminated with chemical pollutants,
– development, optimization, and application of advanced analytical methodologies (QuEChERS) for multi-class determination of pesticide residues, PAHs, and fatty acids in soil, plant material, and food matrices using GC-MS/MS,
– determination and quantitative analysis of elemental composition using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS),
– environmental and dietary risk assessment related to the presence of pesticide residues and trace elements in agricultural products,
– research on food quality, nutritional composition, and the impact of biological processes on plant-derived raw materials,
– advancement of sustainable and environmentally friendly approaches in crop protection, soil management, and modern agricultural practices.
