GRZEGORZ FRYDRYK
Born in 1976 in Rzeszów. Graduate of the State High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów. In the years 1997-2002 he studied at the Institute of Fine Arts of the University of Rzeszów. Diploma in 2002 in the Painting Studio of prof. Irena Popiołek - Rodzińska and in the Graphics Studio of prof. Andrzej Pietsch. Since 2006 assistant at the Department of Workshop Graphics at the Faculty of Art of the University of Rzeszów in the Intaglio Printing Studio of prof. Włodzimierz Kotkowski, and then in the Relief Printing Studio of prof. Krzysztof Skórczewski. In 2012 he received his doctorate at the Faculty of Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. In 2023 he obtained the degree of habilitated doctor awarded by the Scientific Council of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He deals with graphics, drawing and painting. Author of graphic designs for books and poetry volumes. Member of the literary and artistic association "Fraza" and the Association of the International Graphic Triennial in Krakow. In the years 2014-2020 he organized the following individual exhibitions: the graphics exhibition "Impuls" at the Solvay Center for Contemporary Art in Krakow - 2019, the graphics and painting exhibition " ABOUT CONTINUOUS PRAYER" at the Diocesan Museum in Rzeszów - 2016 and the exhibition "Graphics and natural objects" at the Art Gallery of the Municipal Cultural Center in Dębica - 2014. In 2018 he received the Honorary Distinction of the Institute of National Remembrance in the competition "Image, Graphics, Drawing, Sculpture of the Year" organized by BWA Rzeszów. In 2021 he received the 2nd prize in the COLLAGE - ASAMBLAGE competition organized by BWA in Olkusz. Participation in international group exhibitions, including: Ruse (Bulgaria), Tetovo (Macedonia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Vancouver (Canada), Edmonton (Canada), Barcelona (Spain), Timisoara (Romania), Derby (Great Britain), Rosario (Argentina), Syros (Greece) and in national exhibitions, including: Gliwice, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Kraków, Gorlice, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Olkusz, Przemyśl, Cieszyn, Częstochowa, Łódź, Sanok, Jarosław, Rzeszów.
