Welcome Centre at the University of Rzeszów
Welcome to the University of Rzeszów!
The Welcome Centre serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, prospective students, and university guests. Located at the heart of the Rejtana Campus, it provides comprehensive information on academic programmes, admissions procedures, campus facilities, and student services. The Centre also offers guided tours, orientation support, and assistance with general inquiries, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for all who engage with the University.
In particular, the Welcome Centre is dedicated to supporting international guests, including both EU and non-EU students and doctoral candidates. It was established as part of a project funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the Welcome to Poland Programme (2022), with the aim of fostering integration and well-being within the University’s international community.
The Centre’s core responsibilities include:
- Providing assistance with formal procedures related to staying at the University of Rzeszów, including—when necessary—support with the legalization of residence in Poland;
- Offering guidance on accommodation and transportation, to facilitate a smooth transition to life in Rzeszów;
- Organizing orientation days for international students at the beginning of each semester across university campuses;
- Initiating meetings and workshops for members of the academic community, with a focus on international students and researchers;
- Collaborating with representatives of Faculties, Research Centres, and the Doctoral School to coordinate visits of international scholars;
- Gathering and sharing information about cultural and academic events in the city and region;
- Responding to inquiries via email and telephone, providing timely and accurate support.
The Welcome Centre plays a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive academic environment, helping international guests navigate their new surroundings and fully engage in university life.
