Faculty of Education and Philosophy

Established on 1 January 2025, the Faculty of Education and Philosophy plays a pivotal role in the academic landscape of the University of Rzeszów, fostering excellence in research and teaching in the fields of pedagogy and philosophy.

Organizational Structure

The Faculty comprises two specialized institutes that integrate research and teaching activities:

  • Institute of Pedagogy, which focuses on educational sciences, teacher training, and pedagogical innovation;
  • Institute of Philosophy, dedicated to the exploration of philosophical thought, ethics, and interdisciplinary studies.

The Faculty offers undergraduate (fist-cycle degree programmes, BA), graduate studies (second-cycle degree programmes, MA) and doctoral programme in various fields of study.

Pedagogy – First- and second-cycle degree programmes (Bachelor’s and Master’s), available as full-time and part-time studies, with a general academic profile

    • Educational Care Pedagogy
    • Resocialization Pedagogy
    • Social Prevention and Resocialization
    • Media Pedagogy and Cultural Animation

Preschool and Early School Education – An integrated five-year Master’s degree programme with a practical profile, offered as full-time and part-time studies.

Special Education – An integrated five-year Master’s degree programme with a practical profile, available as full-time studies.

Specializations include:

  • Education and Rehabilitation of Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
  • Education and Therapy of Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders

 

  • Family Studies – A first-cycle (Bachelor’s) degree programme with a practical profile, offered as full-time studies.

Specializations include:

    • Family Assistance and Counseling
    • Support for the Elderly and People with Disabilities

Institute of Philosophy:

  • Philosophy – First- and second-cycle degree programmes (Bachelor’s and Master’s), offered as full-time studies.

Specializations include:

    • Theoretical Philosophy
    • Cognitive Science

Intercultural Communication – First- and second-cycle degree programmes (Bachelor’s and Master’s), offered as full-time studies.
