Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences

The Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences was established in 2025 as part of a comprehensive structural reorganization of the University of Rzeszów. It offers degree programmes in mathematics, physics, computer science, and technical sciences, available in both full-time and part-time modes of study. Between 2019 and 2023, the scientific institutes that now constitute the Faculty operated within the College of Natural Sciences, which was formed through the merger of three well-established units: the Faculty of Biology and Agriculture, the Faculty of Biotechnology, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences itself traces its origins to 1965, when it was founded as part of the Higher Pedagogical School in Rzeszów. This higher education institution was subsequently transformed into the University of Rzeszów in 2001.
