University of Rzeszów Launches Another Major Investment – Contract Signed for the Construction of a New Medical College Teaching Facility

On 22 October 2025, an official contract-signing ceremony was held in the office of His Magnificence, the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, to advance another strategic investment of our University.

In the presence of representatives of the University authorities and the contractor, an agreement was signed for the construction of a new teaching facility, complete with equipment and accompanying technical infrastructure, on Cicha Street in Rzeszów – within the area of the teaching base used for pre-clinical education of students of the University’s Medical College. The contractor for the project is BETONOX Construction S.A., headquartered in Sopot.

The project provides for the construction of a modern teaching building with a net floor area of approximately 4,000 m², divided into two functional zones: a practical-class section and a lecture section. Implementation of the project will significantly enhance the quality of the teaching infrastructure, improve the comfort of classes, and expand educational opportunities for students of the medical programme and other healthcare-related fields.

Thanks to this investment, the University of Rzeszów will not only be able to increase its admission limits for medical studies, but also to attract even more effectively the most talented secondary-school graduates interested in studying in Rzeszów.

  • Total project cost: PLN 49,419,586.66
    • Co-funding: PLN 40,178,525.74
    • Contract number: KPOD.07.05-IP.10-0004/25/KPO/1784/2025/212
    • Source of funding: funds from the Development Plan of the undertaking entitled “Investments of the Medical College of the University of Rzeszów for the purposes of pre-clinical and clinical education”, forming part of Investment D2.1.1 entitled “Investments related to the modernisation and retrofitting of teaching facilities in connection with increased admission limits for medical studies”, implemented under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) – Component D: Efficiency, accessibility and quality of the healthcare system.

The new teaching facility on Cicha Street will become one of the key elements in the development of the infrastructure of the University of Rzeszów Medical College. The investment will contribute to further strengthening the University’s position as an important centre of medical sciences in south-eastern Poland.
