Launch of the Partnership Project “Science4Business – Science for Business” – Task No. 1 “INCUBATOR OF DEVELOPMENT”
On 23 July 2025, a partnership agreement was signed with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Lead Partner) concerning the implementation of Task No. 1 “Incubator of Development” as part of the non-competitive project entitled “Science4Business – Science for Business”, co-financed by the European Union under the programme “European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021–2027”, Measure 2.5.
The agreement is being implemented by a consortium of Partners comprising:
- Institute of Innovation and Technology of Bialystok University of Technology Ltd.,
- Medical University of Bialystok,
- National Centre for Nuclear Research,
- Central Mining Institute – National Research Institute,
- University of Rzeszów,
- INVENTUR Ltd.,
- University of Bialystok.

The main objective of the project “Science4Business – Science for Business” – Task No. 1 “Incubator of Development” and the partnership established for its implementation is to increase the effectiveness of activities undertaken by Technology Transfer Centres and special purpose vehicles affiliated with research organisations in their cooperation with the business sector, including through the commercialisation of R&D results.
This objective will be achieved by supporting and developing the entire technology transfer process from research institutions to the economy, strengthening human resources, and creating an IT tool to support this process.
The core element of the project is the implementation of the “Incubator of Development” task, which includes conducting industrial research and experimental development, identifying solutions with commercialisation potential and supporting their further development, expanding knowledge about the role of technology transfer in science and the economy within home research institutions, and establishing cooperation with the business environment through know-how transfer from higher education institutions to the economy.
The scope of these activities includes in particular:
- Mapping the potential of research organisations (Action 1),
- Marketing of technological and research offers (Action 2),
- Conducting industrial research and experimental development related to research outcomes with identified commercial potential (Action 3),
- Providing access to knowledge and developing tools for teams engaged in technology transfer (Action 4).
