We are pleased to announce that on October 11, 2025, the Jury of the Marek Kuczma Competition met at the University of Silesia to evaluate submissions for the best Polish scientific paper in the field of functional equations and related topics.

After evaluating publications from 2024 by the Jury of the Marek Kuczma Competition, the paper by Associate Professor Jacek Chudziak, and Associate Professor RNDr. The third place in the competition was taken by Zdenko Kočan, PhD.

The awarded paper entitled Solutions of a unification of the Cauchy and the Goła̧b-Schinzel type equations on a cone was published in Results Math. 79 (2024), no. 8, Paper No. 285, 20 pp.
