Mission and Aims

The Polish Community Centre is dedicated to advancing knowledge and fostering intercultural understanding through a range of academic, educational, and archival activities. Its core tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Collecting, processing, and providing access to archival materials, historical sources, and scholarly studies related to the Polish diaspora;
  • Conducting interdisciplinary research on Polish culture, with particular emphasis on linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies, and history;
  • Developing educational programmes for international students learning Polish as a foreign language;
  • Organising and delivering preparatory courses for foreign nationals intending to pursue higher education in Poland;
  • Offering courses in Polish language and culture tailored to the needs of international learners;
  • Training future educators in the field of Polish as a foreign language;
  • Promoting the Centre’s academic and educational offer both nationally and internationally;
  • Securing external funding to support research, archiving, and teaching initiatives.
