Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer in Technical and Natural Sciences
The Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer in Technical and Natural Sciences (CIKTTNS) is a unit within the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences at the University of Rzeszów. The Centre was established through the implementation of the EU-funded project “University Centre for Innovation and Transfer of Technical and Natural Knowledge”, carried out under the Regional Operational Programme of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship for 2007–2013.
The primary mission of CIKTTNS is to conduct scientific research and provide research, technical, and training services. It also plays a key role in promoting and disseminating the scientific achievements of the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences. The Centre’s infrastructure is utilized by academic staff, engineers and technicians, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students, and external stakeholders engaged in research and development projects.
CIKTTNS comprises nine specialized laboratories and a supporting unit. Its research agenda encompasses a wide array of disciplines, including:
- Materials technology for industrial applications
- Manufacturing engineering
- Materials spectroscopy
- Control of mechanical and electrical systems
- Environmental research, monitoring, and sustainability
- Computer science and applied mathematics
- Systemic and structural analysis
- Financial, economic, and social forecasting
- Development of methodologies for shaping an information society
