In connection with the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Poland of April 14, 2021 on taking measures necessary in the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 virus in order to maintain the greatest possible social distance by limiting direct contacts, bearing in mind § 11 para. 3 of Regulation No. 11/2021 of the Rector of the University of Rzeszów of 27 January 2021 on the organization of classes in the summer semester 2020/2021 in connection with the prevention, counteraction and combating of COVID-19, I would like to inform you that:

  1. Until May 3, 2021, I am extending the obligation to conduct classes with the use of distance learning methods and techniques, i.e. in a remote form in all fields of study (regardless of the form and mode of education), with the exception of:
  • classes developing practical skills in the following fields: medicine, nursing, obstetrics, electroradiology, dietetics, physiotherapy and medical rescue;
  • diploma studios in the last semester of studies.
  1. At the justified request of an academic teacher, from April 19, 2021, the college dean may consent to the conduct of classes which develop practical skills in fields other than those indicated in point 1 at the seat of the University, in particular field classes, provided that it is possible to maintain the sanitary regime during their implementation.
  2. Classes within the framework of doctoral student education, postgraduate studies and other forms of education from April 19, 2021 to May 3, 2021 are carried out remotely.
  3. Apprenticeships may be carried out in accordance with the current schedule, as long as it is allowed by the entity where it is held.
  4. From April 19, 2021 to May 3, 2021, the UR Library will be open in compliance with the sanitary regime, unless overriding regulations or guidelines of the Government of the Republic of Poland or GIS provide otherwise. DETAILED ADJUSTMENTS:

  1. Education in the 2020/2021 academic year will be provided in a mixed mode

in traditional form (in direct contact):

  • classes at bachelor's, supplementary master's and uniform master's studies in the first year, in all fields, excluding lectures for groups of over 50 people, while maintaining the sanitary regime,
  • classes for which the achievement of the assumed learning outcomes is possible only in the traditional form, i.e .: laboratories, hospitals, workshops and field, field and practical classes, for which specialized equipment is needed,
  • for the 2nd-5th or 2nd-3rd and 2nd year years of the 2nd degree - if the size of the groups and the premises make it possible to maintain the sanitary regime, with the exception of lecture groups exceeding 50 people. (in this case, the remote form).

in a remote form:

  • classes for which achieving the assumed learning outcomes is possible with the use of distance learning methods and tools, both in a synchronous and asynchronous form,
  • classes that, for logistical reasons, cannot take place under the sanitary regime.
  1. The detailed mode of conducting individual classes in specific fields of study will be determined by the Dean of a given College, after consultation with the Head of the Department.
  2. PE classes will be carried out in a traditional form, taking into account restrictions related to compliance with the sanitary regime. At the request of the student or the teacher, after approval by the Director of the Physical Education and Recreation Center, classes can be carried out remotely.
  3. University-wide classes will be conducted only remotely.
  4. Classes carried out remotely may take place in a synchronous mode (with the possibility of direct audio-video contact) and in asynchronous mode (based on e-courses).
  5. Classes at part-time studies, at the Doctoral School, at doctoral and postgraduate studies will be planned in such a way as to ensure the conditions provided for by the GIS and Ministry of Science and Higher Education guidelines, enabling compliance with the sanitary regime.
  6. Duty hours of the instructors are planned both in traditional and remote form.
  7. Work placements:
  • will be implemented in accordance with the study program,
  • if the internship cannot be carried out for reasons beyond the student's control, the internship may be carried out at a later date,
  • it is allowed to implement the learning outcomes assigned to internships in an alternative way, for example by carrying out exercises, project or simulation.
  1. Dormitories - accommodation in UR Student Dormitories is possible. Those interested will be accommodated individually, regardless of the nominal purpose of the room. It is allowed to accommodate two people in a room, provided that the people living together submit a declaration of risk awareness. Details on the conditions of residence in the dormitories are available at - https://ur.edu.pl/student/stypendia-domy-studenta-kredyty-studenckie-ubezpie/domy-studenta/domy-studenta-uni Uniwersytet-rzeszowskiego

JUSTIFIED EXCEPTIONS:

  1. Verification of learning outcomes is possible, in justified cases, in direct contact, while maintaining the sanitary regime, regardless of the form of classes.
  2. Credits and examinations as well as diploma examinations may be held in a traditional form (direct contact), taking into account the conditions resulting from the current epidemic situation.

We hope that the presented principles will help us to function efficiently in this difficult academic year for all of us, and that we will soon return to the traditional model of studying.
