The University Legal Clinic was established in 1999 at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Rzeszów. Currently, it is an auxiliary unit operating within the Institute of Legal Sciences of the University of Rzeszów, aiming to provide free legal assistance to people in need of legal support and, at the same time, enabling students to gain valuable professional experience.
The Student Legal Clinic provides legal assistance in areas such as:
- Civil law,
- Family law,
- Labour law,
- Administrative law,
- Criminal law.
For law students, working at the Clinic is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable practical skills that are extremely important for their future professional careers. Working on real cases provides an opportunity to:
- Apply legal theory in real-life situations
- Develop legal analysis, argumentation and legal document writing skills
- Work in a team and communicate with clients
- Understand the ethical aspects of a lawyer's work.
The Student Legal Clinic also works to raise legal awareness in society and organises various educational initiatives, workshops, seminars and lectures.
