The prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Cardiooncology for scientific and research activities IC-OS Centers of Excellence Certification, awarded by the International Society of Cardiooncology, based in the United States, has once again been awarded for the term 2024-2027 to the University of Rzeszow and the Frederic Chopin University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszow.

- This is a great honor for our center, says cardiologist Katarzyna Styczkiewicz, MD, Professor at the University of Rzeszow, who is applying for an extension of the aforementioned certificate, which was first awarded 3 years ago - at that time only 2 centers in Poland received this distinction. In order to receive the certificate, a number of criteria had to be met, including: demonstrating a certain number of publications and scientific research in the field of cardiooncology, presenting a program of cardiooncological care for oncology patients in order to improve the quality of their treatment. The certificate of excellence ennobles the hospital and sets it a bar higher in the standard of cardiooncology care provided to the patient.
