On April 10, 2025, Podkarpackie Governor Teresa Kubas-Hul appointed a provincial consultant in medical microbiology for a five-year term. He was appointed Dr. n. biol. Mariusz Worek, deputy head of the Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Department at the F. Chopin University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszów, Podkarpackie Center for Lung Diseases, and an employee of the Department of Microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine.
