Associate Profesor Piotr Futyma, MD, presented the results of the bipolar ablation registry at the Asia-Pacific Heart Rhythm Association congress in Sydney
At the Asia-Pacific Heart Rhythm Association (APHRS) congress in Sydney, Piotr Futyma, MD, UR professor, presented the results of an international registry of bipolar ablation, which is used to treat certain ventricular arrhythmias refractory to classical ablation. The registry, conducted under the auspices of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) - Scientific Initiatives Committee, involved 16 European centers from 8 countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania). Three Polish centers took part in the study: Rzeszow, Krakow and Kielce.

The bipolar ablation device used in the registry received CE marking in 2020 and is fully manufactured in Poland.
