From 1993 the Faculty Board has held the right to award a Doctorate degree in humanities and literary studies, and since 1996 in linguistics.
The Faculty incorporates the following Institutes:
- Institute of English Studies
- Institute of German Philology
- Institute of Polish Philology
- Department of Russian Philology
Faculty of Philology
The origins of the Faculty are associated with the establishment of the University of Pedagogy in 1965.
The Faculty had existed as an independent entity within the university before becoming a constituent part of the newly established University of Rzeszów in 2001.
There are over 1500 students in enrolment at the Faculty during the 2016/2017 academic year.
There were 126 academic and teaching Staff, including 34 professors as at the end of 2016.
The Faculty prepares students at three levels of education namely, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree.
