Faculty of Medicine

The origins of the Faculty of Medicine can be traced back to the establishment of the Institute of Physical and Health Education in 1992 at the then Rzeszów University of Pedagogy. The Faculty began to function as an independent unit of the University of Rzeszów in 2005 as the Faculty of Health Sciences, but was changed to the current name by the University’s Senate Resolution in 2006.

The overall number of students enrolled during the 2016/2017 academic year exceeded 2700.

There were 215 academic and teaching Staff, including 41 professors in its employment as at the end of 2016.

The Faculty prepares students at both the bachelor and master’s degree level.

Major: MEDICINE

Regular and part-time single cycle master’s studies lasting 12 semesters.

Major: DIETETICS

Regular and part-time bachelor’s studies lasting 6 semesters.
