5.Justification of interdisciplinarity and breakhrough of the research

It has long been known that parents' obesity affects the increase in body weight in children. However, it is not entirely clear whether this is related to dietary habits and lifestyle or transmitted genes. Approximately 60 gene mutation variants are responsible for predisposition to obesity. While genes can cause faster weight gain, the environment (physical activity, diet) activate them. Eating habits and predispositions to physical activity are usually taken over by parents and especially from the mother. The publication clearly shows this tendency, leaving no doubt that the education of parents and especially mothers should be the most important aspect in preventing childhood obesity.
