Pełny temat badawczy: Badania nad patogenezą i obrazem klinicznym świądu

Streszczenie: Świąd definiowany jest jako nieprzyjemne odczucie, powodujące drapanie. Jest to najczęstszy objaw subiektywny chorób skóry, ale może dotyczyć także wielu schorzeń ogólnoustrojowych, neurologicznych czy psychiatrycznych. Pomimo jego powszechnego występowania, patogeneza świądu pozostaje w wielu aspektach niewyjaśniona, co przekłada się na ograniczone możliwości terapeutyczne tego nieprzyjemnego objawu. Ostatnie lata to jednak rozwój nowych leków o działaniu przeciwświądowym, które obecnie pozostają w trakcie badań klinicznych. W związku z nie w pełni poznaną patogenezą świądu celem projektu będzie ocena znaczenia różnych cząstek sygnałowych w schorzeniach skóry i chorobach ogólnoustrojowych przebiegających ze świądem. Ponadto w trakcie projektu przewiduje się badania nad obrazem klinicznym i leczeniem tego uciążliwego objawu.

Wymagania dla kandydata: ukończone studia na kierunku lekarskim lub ukończone studia magisterskie na kierunku biologia, biotechnologia lub pokrewnym

Abstract: Itching is defined as an unpleasant sensation that causes a desire to scratch. It is the most common subjective symptom of skin diseases, but it can also occur in many systemic, neurological or psychiatric diseases. Despite its widespread occurrence, the pathogenesis of pruritus remains unclear in many aspects, which translates into limited therapeutic possibilities effective in this unpleasant symptom. However, recent years have seen the development of new antipruritic drugs, which are currently under clinical trials. Due to the incompletely understood pathogenesis of pruritus, the aim of the project will be to evaluate the role of various signaling molecules in pruritic skin and systemic diseases. In addition, the project includes research on the clinical picture and treatment of this bothersome symptom.
