Streszczenie: Badania nad dziełem literackim obejmują utwory oraz teksty kultury powstałe w XX i XXI wieku, które mogą być rozpatrywane w perspektywie historycznoliterackiej i teoretycznoliterackiej oraz interdyscyplinarnej z zastosowaniem różnorodnych metodologii. Problematyka badawcza może obejmować na przykład analizę tematologiczną czy mitograficzną polskich utworów poetyckich, prozatorskich, dramatycznych, eseistycznych powstałych w  XX i XXI wieku, opracowanie  monograficzne twórczości nieznanych pisarzy/poetów/twórców kultury (w tym  przedstawicieli polskiej emigracji), jak i rozpoznania teoretycznoliterackie związane  na przykład z zastosowaniem danej kategorii literackiej w kontekście wybranej metodologii badań (np. badania kulturowe, dekonstrukcjonizm, feminizm, postkolonializm). Możliwe są także prace badawcze prowadzone w perspektywie antropologicznej (kultura symboliczna) obejmujące na przykład literaturę, teatr, film).

Wymagania dla kandydata: Kandydat/ka powinna/powinien posiadać kompetencje badawcze pozwalające na samodzielne prowadzenie badań naukowych, w tym umiejętność analizy i interpretacji dzieła literackiego i tekstu kultury, a także dobrze przyswojoną wiedzę w zakresie historii i problemów polskiej literatury oraz kultury XX i XXI wieku.

Abstract: The studies on a literary work encompass writings and texts of culture written in the 20th and 21st centuries, which can be analysed from a historical-literary and theoretical-literary as well as interdisciplinary perspective with the application of various methodologies. The research area may encompass e.g. subject-related or mythographical analysis of the Polish poetic, prose, dramatic and essayistic works written in the 20th and 21st centuries, monographic elaboration on works of unknown writers/poets/culture creators (including the representatives of Polish emigration), as well as theoretical-literary studies associated with e.g. the application of a specific literary category in the context of a selected research methodology (e.g. cultural studies, deconstructionism, feminism, postcolonialism). It is also possible to conduct research work carried out from the anthropological perspective (symbolic culture) which encompasses e.g. literature, theatre, film.  

Expected competence/skills for a candidate for a PhD student: A candidate should have research competence which enables to conduct scientific research  independently, including the ability to analyse and interpret literary works and cultural texts, together with well acquired knowledge of history and issues of Polish literature and culture of the 20th and 21st centuries.
