Level and form of study: first-cycle and second-cycle studies, full-time and part-time
Description of the course/specialisation:
The aim of the studies in the field of education is for the graduate to acquire the ability to use the knowledge of legal sciences and political and administrative sciences, as well as to correctly understand and interpret legal texts. In the field of study of the second degree, the student chooses a path of study in the semester of the second/ first year of study from the following:
- Internal security administration,
- Public administration,
- Administration of non-public entities.
Alumnus profiles:
Alumni of the Bachelor's degree programme should have the ability to apply their knowledge in their professional work while observing ethical principles. The aim of the studies is also for the student to acquire the ability to use a foreign language in accordance with the requirements specified for level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, including a specialist foreign language in the fields of administration, law and finance, to the extent necessary to perform their profession.
Alumni are able to solve professional problems, have the ability to communicate with the environment in the workplace, efficiently use available means of information and office technology, actively participate in group work and organise and manage small teams. Alumni are able to analyse properly obtained information, interpret it and draw practical conclusions as well as formulate and justify opinions. He/she is able to independently undertake and carry out business activities. He/she is able to participate to an elementary extent in preparation of social projects (he/she can design legal solutions, construct basis of operation of various types of institutions and organisations and basis of their management) taking into account legal, economic and political aspects. He/she is able to prepare social projects independently or in a group and justify them properly.
In the scope of continuing studies, the graduate is prepared to independently improve and complement the acquired knowledge and skills. The graduate is prepared to undertake second-cycle studies.
Graduates of second-cycle studies acquire the ability to think logically, analyse and synthesise, thanks to which they are able to argue convincingly and interpret administrative, legal, social, political and economic phenomena in various decision-making situations.
The aim of the studies is also for the student to acquire the ability to use a foreign language in accordance with the requirements set out for level B2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, including a specialist foreign language in the field of administration, law to the extent necessary to perform their profession. In the scope of continuing studies, the graduate is prepared to independently improve and complement the acquired knowledge and skills in the conditions of progressing integration processes in Europe. The graduate is ready to continue his/her education in doctoral school.
Career perspectives:
In terms of employment opportunities, the graduate is prepared for clerical work at a low and medium level of an auxiliary nature to decision-making entities in various types of public administration - both central and local government - and for the application of law in non-public institutions.
Graduates are prepared to apply the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge in clerical work at a lower level in various entities, public administration bodies and institutions, private companies and in individual business activities.
